French dramatist and playwright Jean Anouilh’s wonderfully dotty and beautiful Time Remembered (Leocadia) is a hilarious, exquisitely textured French confection containing a tasty bite of the absurd. Anouilh spins a romantic tale of a lovesick prince, his eccentric aunt, and the lengths she will go in order to save him. Considered one of Anouilh's pièces roses (pink plays), it is dominated by fantasy, providing a fairy tale atmosphere. Time Remembered first delighted London and Broadway audiences in 1957 starring Richard Burton, Susan Strasberg and Helen Hayes. The IRC’s fresh interpretation is a mid-winter antidote for our time!
